Lidmore Mill, Duffryn
The mill is now a delightful private dwelling but inside the main building is a hidden Tudor doorway. Originally this mill was part of the ancient village of Highlight which was then called Uchelolau and villagers had to grind their corn there and donate some of it to the Lord of the Manor for the privilege and as a toll. If they refused they had to pay heavily in fines.
